Nano-indentation test
we have a MFP 3D Origin+ AFM, and we want to do some mechanical tests specifically nano-indentation, and we want to know if we need to a specific equipment to added or just only with the AFM head we can do nano-indentation test. ? Thanks

you can do cantilever based nanoindentation with the AFM. There are two ways to do this. You can simply run force curves on your sample and model the tip-sample interaction with a plastic indentation, or you can use the force curve for a trigger to then run a separate indentation function and analyze that.. Both methods are described thoroughly in the force curve chapter of the manual. There are links to the manuals in this forum and a copy is shipped in the software folder with every system.
