Dennis Discher Elected to National Academy Of Medicine
"Our Asylum AFMs have been 'bread & butter' tools for my lab's measurements of tissue, matrix, and gel micro-mechanics for about 15 years, helping us to understand processes such as stem cell mechanosensing in differentiation. One of many 'fortunate outcomes' for me from that dozen years of AFM-facilitated work has been recent election to the National Academy of Medicine. Thanks to Asylum for all the help along the way!" - Dennis Discher Dennis Discher Elected to National Academy Of Medicine ... -

New GetStarted™ Feature on Asylum Research AFMs Makes Imaging Easier and More Productive While Maintaining All the Benefits of Tapping Mode
July 23, 2015 – Researchers sometimes struggle to get good images using atomic force microscopy (AFM) because of the complexity of optimizing imaging parameters. The new GetStarted™ feature on Oxford Instruments Asylum Research AFMs eliminates this challenge, making AFM operation much simpler and more productive. GetStarted guides users through initial setup and then automatically calculates optimal imaging parameters before the AFM even starts scanning. This ensures that you get high quality...

The AC160 is a fantastic AFM tapping mode probe from Olympus for those who do not know, and the most popular probe in our store for good reason. We're having a sale on it right now so it may be a good time to stock up. :) It offers several improvements over common tapping mode probes like the NC-series, TESP, and Tap300:
• Front-set tip located at the very end of the cantilever makes it easy to precisely line up and land on your point of interest.
• Vertical side walls enable...-
