    This class, for young scientists and newcomers, will provide basic information about new advances on imaging techniques and force spectroscopy using Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM).

    Training sessions will include the following AFM topics: Contact, Intermittent Contact, Non-contact, Peak Force tapping modes; Soft and hard materials characterization; Optical and AFM correlative image; High speed imaging; Force spectroscopy; Sample preparation and SPM imaging modes.

    Activities will emphasize theoretical and practical principles of Scanning Probe Microscopy, in particular, Atomic Force Microscopy imaging techniques, aiming to extract the maximum SPM information.

    Course certificate:

    The hands-on school certificate will correspond to a 60 hours course open to graduated students. Organizers will select 20 participants to access the full activities, including training sections at the pre-congress program and obligatory participation on the ISPM2015 conference. The conference registration fee won’t be charged for these selected school participants.
