  • AFM Workshop at The University of Texas at Austin, Sept. 14-15, 2011

The University of Texas at Austin and Asylum Research will host the Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) Workshop, Life Science and Materials Characterization, on Sept. 14-15, 2011. The workshop will be a combination of AFM tutorials, lectures on current research being done in the field, and the very popular equipment lab and demonstrations where you can ask-the-expert and get tips and tricks for making your measurements. Topics include force measurements and mapping, Scanning Kelvin Probe Microscopy (SKPM), nanomechanics, thermal analysis and high resolution imaging with Cypher™, the world's fastest and highest resolution AFM. The AFM Workshop is open to current researchers looking to learn more about AFM techniques as well as those new to AFM who want to learn how AFM can be used in their own research. A small registration fee of $20 will be charged to cover lunch and coffee breaks.
